On Thursday, 30 July, the former Mayor of Lichfield, Cllr Claire Pinder-Smith, accompanied by the former Sheriff, Revd Ian Hayter, presented cheques in the Mayor’s Parlour to representatives of their nominated charities.
During their year in office, the former Mayor and Sheriff raised a total of £6,391.56, which was equally distributed between their two chosen charities: Lichfield Arts and Pathway Project.
Mark Jones from Lichfield Arts and Selina Hughes & Natasha Brotheridge from Pathway Project were delighted to receive their cheques for £3,195.78 each.
To raise funds, the former Mayor and Sheriff hosted a variety of successful charity events throughout their year in office, including a Quiz Night, Black & White Ball and Ceilidh Dance.
The former Mayor and Sheriff would like to offer their sincere thanks to all the local businesses, groups, and individuals who supported their fundraising activities and showed such wonderful generosity towards these two worthy causes.
